Newsflash - MCFC Supporters Trust Goes National Tonight!

We have been contacted by Radio 5 Live and asked to appear on their Monday Night Club show tonight.

We understand that Colin Savage will be going on between 8:30 & 9:00pm to talk about the trust, why the supporters need a voice and the open meeting.

The subject of investment in the club will no doubt come up and there will be one bit of news, which we've not been able to reveal up to now, that people will find very interesting indeed!

So tune in to 5 Live tonight.

I heard the interview. Am I right in thinking that the Supporters Trust could be incredibly powerful? Wardle and Makin hold a chunk of shares. Boler, Lee, Sky and the rest hold a chunk of shares. On a head to head vote, (Wardle & Makin vs Boler, Lee, Sky et al) neither would have a clear majority? If so your votes from the shares the Trust pools would have the deciding vote. We go from supporters having no say to supporters having a pivotal role. Or is my estimate of current shareholdings incorrect?

Simon, that is possible but of course we don't know the terms of any bids, who the bidders are, what the offer per share will be, we don't know who is on which side etc. What is clear is that over 33% of the shares owned by the City fans have no voice and it is they who could control the destiny of the Club. All we can do is sit and wait what happens, in the meantime we will present our ideas, aims and concerns at the Open Meeting and take it from there.
